Celebrate the Halloween season and show your love for all things dachshund at the Howl-O-Weenie Festival! This free community festival open to everyone—whether or not you are owned by a dachshund—and offers a range of fun activities for kids, adults, and pets to enjoy!
Dress up in your best costume and head to the Clayton County International Park, where you can meet and mingle with likeminded dog lovers and take part in the howling contest, the dachshund kissing booth, and the best costume competition! The festival features an artist market where vendors are offering dog-related items such as art, doggie treats and pet accessories, and volunteer vet-techs offer "pet-icures" and microchipping, so be sure to bring your furry friends for a day of fun. Local food trucks and vendors will be on-site serving up delicious lunches, so you can spend the whole day at this incredible social event—and be sure to catch everyone’s favorite highlight, the dachshund races!
