The Dunwoody Art Festival, the largest art festival in Dunwoody, GA, takes place each year on Mother’s Day weekend at the Dunwoody Village Parkway. The Festival attracts top artists from across the country to showcase some of their best works for purchase, and each year, over 60,000 people attend to check out the amazing array of arts and crafts. In fact, the event is so widely praised that it was bestowed a trophy as “Best New Event of 2010” by the Southeast Festivals and Events Association.
Art and artisan crafts showcased at the Dunwoody Art Festival includes handmade jewelry, sculpture, paintings, homemade soaps, baked goods and home décor. The Dunwoody Art Festival also features a food court with favorite food trucks from throughout the area, offering everything from gourmet lobster rolls and homemade doughnuts.
If you’re concerned that your children won’t have much fun hopping from one tent to the next in search of the perfect art piece, don’t worry: A designated Kidz Zone will entertain them for hours with rides, sand-art activities and imaginative crafts and games.
The Dunwoody Art Festival is supported by Dunwoody Crier and the Dunwoody Rotary Club, which also provides numerous on-site volunteers. On-site parking is free.
